About our Audience

Our audience age range is wide from 18-60+ years old. We have an open adience and for many, this is their only experience with a Fringe Festival! 

Festival Stats

The Boston Fringe had 20 individual shows with 50 performances at The Rockwell in Davis Square.​ In 2025, 1,167 tickets were sold. 100% of box office proceeds are returned to the producing artists, which was $19,285!

How Artists are Accepted

Boston Fringe is un-curated and is selected via first-come, first-serve (which filled in the first 15 minutes of submissions opening in 2025) and lottery. Spaces are saved by genre to ensure the festival is genre-diverse. Fees range from $100-$450 to maintain accessibility and 100% of ticket sales are returned to artists.

Costs and Deals

$30 non-refundable submission fee
$100-$450 venue fee if accepted
Additional liability insurance required
100% of ticket profits are returned to artist

Tech Information

Each artist is provided a technician to do basic lighting and sound (think lights up, lights down, 1-5 sound cues); Each performer is offered tech time equivalent to their show's runtime.
