The Denver Fringe Festival brings original, innovative and experimental arts to creative venues. Our goals are to support independent artists in the cultivation of new work, make performance arts more accessible and inclusive, and to build community through the power of the arts to move toward a more just world.

Type of Festival

The Denver Fringe Festival takes place across multiple creative venues in Denver's RiNo Art District in the Five Points area and beyond into vibrant neighborhoods and cultural districts.

About our Audience

Denver has one of the highest arts event participation rates in the country and is filled with people ready to engage with the arts.

Festival Stats

The Denver Fringe Festival launched in 2020 as a virtual festival and has experienced steady growth since then. The 2025 Denver Fringe Festival included 75 productions at over 20 performance venues throughout the city.

Artist Information

How Artists are Accepted

We accept as many artists as possible and implement a waitlist if we have more applicants than we can accommodate.

Benefits of Applying

Artists can attend Denver Fringe Festival shows for free, space available. We offer year-round programming to build opportunities for community and collaboration as well as workshopping events leading up to the festival.

Costs and Deals

Our application fee is $25 and production fees range from $150-$500. Production fees cover your venue, tech and FOH support, ticketing, free workshops and festival events. Artist payout is 70 percent of net ticket sales.

Tech Information

 All venues have basic sound and lighting, some have complete theatrical lighting and most have the option for projection. A short tech rehearsal is scheduled for every production and there is a stage manager and/or board operator at every venue.

Performance Schedule

Shows range between 45 and 60 minutes. KidsFringe shows are 30 to 45 minutes. The performance schedule is built with a half-hour changeover between shows. Productions are typically given 3 performances.

We are dedicated to ensuring ​that our artists feel supported in all ways and audience members have an exceptional experience throughout the festival.
