The Hollywood fringe festival

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community. Each June during the Hollywood Fringe, the arts infiltrate the Hollywood neighborhood: fully equipped theaters, parks, clubs, churches, restaurants and other unexpected places host hundreds of productions by local, national, and international arts companies and independent performers.

Our audience trends toward 18-35 year olds, but we have an audience of all ages.

Festival Stats

Hollywood Fringe averages about 400 individual shows with 2,000 performances across nearly 50 spaces.​ 62,000 tickets were sold in 2024. 100% of box office proceeds are returned to the producing artists, thats over 5 million dollars since 2010! 

Artist Information

How Artists are Accepted

HFF is uncurated and has no application process. Anyone who books a venue within our geographical borders during the festival dates can pay a registration fee of $450, and self-produce their work as part of the festival.

Performance Schedule

It is at the discretion of the producer. Typical shows are 60-90 minutes, with a run of 3-6 performances.
