TAMPA INTERNATIONAL Fringe FestivalAS ONE OF THE newest FRINGE FESTIVALS ON THE CIRCUIT (AS OF THIS WRITING), Tampa fringe is young and hungry. We are a festival of love and passion, founded and run by touring fringe artists ad we understand the needs of artists extremely well. our audiences are still growing and, at this point, we think of tampa more as an emerging festival than an established event, but we understand that as a limitation and we definitely make up for it in important ways! We support artists in a hands on way. we're small enough that each artist and audience member is an individual. we're approachable, fun, and excited about every participant! Our festival drawing is after the drawing for orlando, and our festival closes just days before orlando begins, so artists can plan accordingly. we're fun, sunny, and all about transforming our town into a fringe powerhouse! Oh... And we have a boat.

About our AudienceOur audience is small but growing. we are teaching tampa how to fringe and building the culture of fringe from scratch in ybor city. as of this writing, we have an ECLECTIC mix of youngers and olders, students and retirees. we have a few dedicated superfans, and word is spreading every day.

How Artists are Accepted26 ACTS ARE LOTTERY, WITH THE FOLLOWING SPLITS:
FIRST WE DRAW 2 DIVERSITY ACTS & 2 SPANISH LANGUAGE/BILINGUAL ACTS. THOSE FROM THOSE CATEGORIES THAT ARE NOT DRAWN GO BACK INTO THE GENERAL POOL FOR THE FOLLOWING: LOCAL (30 MILE RADIUS OF YBOR) 50% NATIONAL 25% INTERNATIONAL 25% ADDITIONALLY, THE FESTIVAL CURATES 2 KIDS FRINGE SHOWS, AND UP TO 2 BYOV SHOWS. |
